    described by Dickes p. 316 [crossed out - last] exhibited at Norfolk and Suffolk exhibition 1830 & at Tate Gallery 1922 no.12 (I have a photograph)*

    '; an excellent Crome, two delightful Cotmans, and a lovely early middle period Turner (Somer Hill, Tunbridge) ; sculpture by Boehm, Onslow Ford, and Harvard Thomas (and since 1927 a fine series of original models by Alfred Stevens) ; watercolours by Girtin, Cotman and Blake; drawings by Charles Keene, Frederick Sandys and J.M Swan are amongst them. But Constable and Bonington are as yet only represented by sketches and there is nothing at all to represent the English pre-Raphaelites or such fine individual painters as Stevens and Whistler.
