(2) Fishing boats on Yarmouth beach, pencil on thin paper joined in the middle - 6¼ x 5½ - on reverse studies of figures - fishermen - watermark '1818'

*(4) "Cromer Jetty during a storm" 5⅛ x 14¼. Charcoal & white on grey-green paper. cf. "Storm off Cromer Nov. 14. 1841" drawing in B.M. illustrated in Cotman. Cox & Dewint c.5/-. This latter is taken from higher up. But obviously both were done at the same time.

(5) A Norfolk Wherry. 5½ x 7¼.
Inscribed "Nov. 29. 1841" charcoal and white on sage-brown paper. Very slight, looks as if sketched from a boat.

(6) Study of Rocks. Blk chlk on blue paper. 4¾ x 9½.

*(7) Boat at Sea. (? the artist's "Jessie" ) with 3 figures in it & a black dog. The stern of the boat has a canvas cover. Suggestions of shipping in the background. - Very fine & free. Soft pencil on buff paper. 8¾ x 11¾.

(8) Windmills near Yarmouth. 6¼ x 10¼, pencil on buff paper. Seems the same group of mills as is shown in my coloured chalk drawing, but from slightly different angle. Looks c. 1822.
