Dear Kitson
Your very kind letter gives me great pleasure, and you couldn't have made me a present which I should prefer to the photograph of this most charming and interesting portrait of The Great Man. Thank you most warmly for it. I have not seen the original. I was very keenly interested in the fate of that collection, and was much relieved when I heard it had been secured bodily by the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Sincerely yours
C F Bell
