The volume, which is fully illustrated in collotype, concludes with a further instalment of John Sell Cotman's letters from Normandy, edited by Mr. H. Isherwood Kay. They show the powers of description and the distinction of mind that we expect from the artist. There is a delightful passage on page 109 describing the character of good society - "I mean to say, a little person does not feel his insignificance by being impertinently and vulgarly told so or overlooked." Some of Cotman's Normandy sketches are reproduced.
