Nov: 16. 1927 Motored to Wimborne, Dorset with M.W.K. Visited Mr Herbert Orfeur at the Old House. Saw his Cotmans, which he obtained from his father in business in Yarmouth & afterwards a civil servant, who bought them from Charles Muskett, bookseller of Norwich. C.M acquired them at Cotman’s sale in 1843.
(1) Watercolour, interior of a church, with figure & dog, seated. c. 9 x 11.

(2) A watercolour, landscape, on the back of half of the etching of the S. Gate at Yarmouth. c. 9 x 11 c. 1828. Very fine – in good condition.
(3) A small, rather muddy, landscape of a wood c 9 x 11. late. poor condition.
(4) A small, rather muddy, indefinite landscape c 9 x 11. late, poor condition. Egg medium.
(5) A small, late, egg medium landscape. Scarlet boy in foreground, brilliant blue clouds behind – very foxed.
(6) Study of trees, with wooden tombstones in front (?Ashtead Surrey Churchyard) Early, c. 1804 – 5 pencil & chalk on grey paper.
