Dear Sir,
A catalogue of Towne's exhibition of 1805 is at the British Museum--899.h.l.8, but it gives no date of month. I am not sure if I saw a review of the exhibition, but if not must have based my "early in the spring", in an announcement in the "Literary Magazine" of Feb. 1st, 1805, p.102, that "Mr Towne will shortly open.." etc.
