    x (1) Black and white chalk on grey paper - Trees, pasture and cattle, "one for [?] to [?] left" Bottom left in John Sell Cotman's hand.
    (2) ditto ditto trees. deer, park, paling and meadow 14 1/4 and 10 1/2 inset (top left) a woman and child - a dead [?] taken in John Sell Cotman's writing.
    (3) ditto ditto on blue paper 8 3/4 x 13 - group of trees by riverside, cow drinking -
    (4) ditto ditto on grey paper 9 1/4 x 14 3/8 - group of trees and a railing.
    (5) 3 on one sheet (2 top probably by Miles Sell Cotman). Bottom one (5 x 7 1/2) pencil on brown paper, the clever white touches in sky and foreground have gone brown. Curve of a river or boats sailing - "The water a deep torrid purplish blueish grey - Trees deep and very rich green - Figures very sparkling. Sky without cloud, [?] white figures on board a barge. The barge dark red and brown.
    x(4) 3 on one sheet: most probably by Joh Sell Cotman, 3 1/2 x 6 1/2, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and 4 1/4 x 7-
    (5) Black and white chalk on grey paper - 13 x 10 1/4 - study of trees [? in Gunton Park].
    (6) 5 on a sheet - the top one by John Sell Cotman. Portico of a temple emerging from a group of trees like the one in the British Museum, inscribed 'Mr Fields picture'. The rest are probably by Miles Sell Cotman, some are dated from June 20 1828. Back Lane looking to the Downs. Petersham Wood June 23. 1828, June 24. 1828. Hackney. Buckwater Common set 9. 1828 [a boat] ? - set 9 - 1828.
