    (7) Gillingham Church on margin in J.S.C's writing (?) on back in Bell's writing 'contemporary copy of J.S.C probably by one of the ladies of the Turner family. The subject was engraved in 'Excursions through Norfolk.' (vol 1 - p79.) Watercolour - 9 x 11¼ on rough yellowish paper- [salient points pinched] through- colouring rather crude. Some good passages - e.g. the railings - quality well below J.S.C's
    (8) On Whatman mount (1837) Font Calthorp Church- watercolour 7¾ x 5¾. in Bell's writing - The same subject as J.S.C's etching but ? if his work. (no. 71 second series. vol 1 published 1817-) on the back rubbed out sketch of a bridge & foliage & Calthrop '(sic) in J.S.C's writing. This drawing is probably by Cotman, but the colour quality is poor.
    (9) "J. S. Cotman. Yelverton Church" on drawing - 'font. Yelverton Church.' on mount. 6⅜ x 8. watercolour same paper as no. 8. the writing of the '1817' period. dark background- green & red book lying at foot of font. left. undoubtedly by J.S.C but poor in quality
    (10) "Screen. N aisle North Creak, Norfolk." on margin of drawing in Cotman's writing- J.S.Cotman?' in Bell's writing on mount. (Whatman 1854) 8 x 10- pencil & sepia - The screen is sketched on the reverse, entirely in freehand, evidently on the spot & traced through & the T-square used for keeping the the lines straight. yellowish, Umi paper -Writing of '1817' period - undoubtedly J.S.C's work.
