    (8) 'Cherbourg.' inscribed 'Cotman, Cherbourg' - soft pencil on yellow paper. c8x14. good. [Family productions- King's College period]

    (9) 'Study of a monk.' watercolour, late & rather nasty. figure fills nearly the whole space. c12"x9" - [did not see it - inform: 32]

    (10) Arches in the tower, Castle Rising church. pencil on buff paper, sketch for etching. dated Jan. 1812. Plate XVII in 'Arch/ant.'c16"x14" all right]

    (11) 'Study of an old cottage.' signed 'J.S Cotman pencil on cream paper early. c. 1803 2 c.10"x8" [Same date & style as say 'Lychgate near Llangollen.']
